Coach Raji

Hi, this is Raji. I am the elder daughter of my family. I was blessed with 3 siblings, two lovely sisters and one amazing brother and I am very grateful to my parents who gave us a good education, even though they were not highly qualified, they had big dreams for us and the passion to give us the best of everything.

So from my childhood, I had huge dreams and goals to get educated and teach my fellow mates and my siblings, I studied hard with complete focus, became an electronics engineer and completed my master’s in communication systems. I have been working in an institution as an assistant professor for 12 years which made me feel very proud and developed a passion and curiosity to share knowledge & experiences which I learnt throughout my journey I, later on, realized that this was my driving force.

one fine day I realised that I was in my comfort zone and I was unable to generate adequate income for what I was worth and slowly noticed that the management didn’t value my loyalty & sincerity. I was undergoing a lot of mental stress and felt that I was losing my identity for a mere salary.   Eventually, that stress started affecting me physically, mentally & emotionally. I developed PCOD issues which slowly started shattering my dream to become a mother which eventually added more to my stress level.

Recently, I lost my ancestral home as it was demolished by the National Highways authorities as it was en route to a proposed National Highway. The next major trauma was losing my father while all of this was happening. These were two incidents which left me in immeasurable pain, and the need for solace was compelling. I was a very sensitive person grumbling over small things in life but life has given me a lot of situations in which me mentally strong I developed a giant mindset I took the support of our mentors, I identified my leadership qualities and how to balance my family and kids without losing my identity.

I realised that being a good housewife, mom and daughter-in-law, sister so on and on should not compromise my self-respect and dignity, slowly I added a lot of feathers to my hat, and become the person I am from a caterpillar to a beautiful butterfly. It was at that time, that I got into a positive community, where I was motivated to take care of my Physical and emotional health.

I felt I found my identity and was able to assess my weakness and my strength, learning how to make my weakness work for me and using my pain as fuel for my goal. I then learnt that if I could help people do the same with their lives and work on their life goals, I could become an inspiration to many who could also add value to others' lives. I would always be thankful to my mentors who showed me the way and also inspired me to become a mentor to many others.
